The owner and pilot for Outback Balloon is
Randall Fuehrer. Randall is a FAA Hot Air Balloon Commercial Pilot and FAA
A&P Mechanic with an Inspector Authorization. His aviation career started
at Portland Community College in 1981. While attending Portland Community
College Randall met the requirements and earned an FAA A&P Mechanic
license. Randall has worked at Hillsboro Aviation as an A&P Mechanic. He
continued his career at Horizon Air as an Avionics Technician on various
different commercial aircraft and worked there till 1987. In 2003 Randall
started crewing for hot air balloon pilots. In 2004 passed all requirements and
received a private hot air balloon license. In 2005 passed all requirements and
received his commercial hot air balloon license. Since then Randall has been
flying at hot air balloon rallies, providing commercial flights and tethered
flights throughout the western United States. Randall has flown in many
different locations in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, California, and
New Mexico. Randall has flown in the Albuquerque Balloon Festival in 2008 and
2009 and looks forward to returning again soon. Randall is a member of the
local balloon club called the Willamette Aerostat Society (WAS) and the Balloon
Federation of America. Randall does hot air balloon repair and inspections in
Newberg, Oregon in his hanger at Sportsman Air Park and can also travel to your
location to do repair and inspections at your location.
